PICK OF THE WEEK
Charlotte's Web – From my point of view, and the point of view of my 8 year old son Jack, this is a total delight. The degree of difficulty was amazing and animating the lips on so many animals for so many scenes was a hugely complex job. A must see if you have kids or grandkids from 5-10.
Pursuit of Happyness – I'm a huge Will Smith fan and now a fan of his son Jayden. This is a terrific story with a heartwarming ending, but I found it a little unsatisfying getting there.
Apocalypto – I really wasn't prepared for this, but Apacolypto was one of the best movies of the year. For me anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if a hundred years from now it's the only movie from this year that anybody writes about. Mel Gibson knows how to tell a story and involve you with characters even when these characters speak not a single line that you can understand. Beware, however, this film is extremely violent.
