PICK OF THE WEEK
Syriana – Some people will hate this movie, with very good reasons; others will applaud it, with equally good reasons. A lot of movie goers will find its complexity, obliqueness, and understated style, fresh and exhilarating; while others will find themselves dozing off in their seats.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe – Jack loved Narnia to death. My wife and I liked it a great deal. What more can you ask of a family movie? More traditional story telling than Harry Potter, but in its own way, nearly as good.
The Squid and the Whale – A dysfunctional mother and a dysfunctional father equals what? In this case, a very very good movie, especially if you're into dysfunction.
