PICK OF THE WEEK
Casino Royale – In terms of action delivered in a fun way, it would be hard to beat this movie. It's darker and more contemporary than any of the Bonds that preceded it, but I would have to give the filmmakers great credit for reinvigorating this franchise. Daniel Craig is a fine Bond, one of the best, and if you would like to see more of him, rent a little movie called Layer Cake.
Deja Vu – I'm a huge Denzel Washington fan and I know a lot of readers would love to see him take a shot at Alex Cross. As always, he's flawless in this role. The movie starts with a bang—literally—but then it gets seriously off the tracks, at least for me.
The Fountain – My mother always told me that if you can't say something nice about somebody, don't say anything at all.
Happy Feet – Jack was happy, Sue was happy, I was fairly happy. The environmental message here actually works quite well. Go penguins!
