Patterson Movie Picks Archive
PICK OF THE WEEK
Juno – Juno has some of the best dialog I've heard in a long time. It looked terrific in the trailer and for once the movie is even better. All the actors do a fantastic job, but especially Ellen Page. This and Once are my favorites of the year.
Charlie Wilson's War – Charlie Wilson's War is probably the only war movie that will make money this year, and it deserves to. I'm not usually a Mike Nichols fan but this was a very tight, funny flick. It's also the best role Tom Hanks has had in a couple years. Of course the absolute star is Philip Seymour Hoffman and he keeps getting better and better.
The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep – Waterhorse is one of those children's movies that adults will enjoy as much as their kids. A lot of attention was given to the script cinematography & animation. Definitely a good one to bring your kids eight and up to see.
