Conviction

Powerful story. Honestly, if predictably, told.

You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger

Sporadically funny, sporadically embarrassing. Woody Allen keeps getting great casts to make essentially the same movie over and over again.

Paranormal Activity 2

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself—going to every freaking movie that comes out. My problem, not yours. This one bears testimony to the fact that people are desperate for something different that has something to do with their day-to-day lives. As for the movie itself, you will watch surveillance tapes of a house for an hour or more waiting for something to happen, then something happens (not terribly exciting) and there's absolutely no explanation for why it happened.

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest

This is the third movie adaptation of the Stieg Larsson trilogy. The reviews I read were all pretty bad but I actually thought the movie was pretty good. The pacing is slow however, and the film has subtitles.

Due Date

This reminded me of a Farrelly Bros. (There's Something About Mary, etc.) production, except that the lighting is much better. The characters are kind of unlikeable, but when it's funny, it's very funny (if you like gross-funny).
