Toy Story 3

Every critic I've seen gives this movie 4 stars. Jack, Sue and I agree. Enough said.

Winter's Bone

I think it would be a shame if this film doesn't become an Academy Awards nominee. The direction, camerawork, acting is just about flawless. It's not a joyful tale so it won't be for everybody, but I absolutely loved it.

Knight and Day

I met Tom Cruise recently and I really enjoyed him. Contrary to the rumors he's definitely not short, and he's quite good-looking and fun to be around. The latest movie is good fun as well, but there's something a little off about the comic timing and, I think, he's a much better actor than the one who keeps playing Tom Cruise.

Grown Ups

This is mostly sweet and endearing (when it isn't being unnecessarily mean-spirited). But I wish Adam Sandler would set higher standards for himself.

The Last Airbender

The animated TV series (Jack's favorite) was a lot better, although Jack was cool with the movie too. I liked the animated show, but thought the movie dialogue was pretty awful.

Eclipse

I still feel the first episode was the best because it established a tone and voice for the beloved Bella and Edward. The love triangle works pretty well here, but the story is too soap-opera-ish for me. Sorry.
