One of the better thrillers I've seen in a while. Fresh storyline, clever direction, good performances. And what can I say, I like most Tom Cruise movies.
Not a bad movie but a movie I wish I hadn't spent a couple of hours watching. A downer, with nothing much to say. At least not to me.
Tight, well-acted, kind of slick for an Independent. What this film is really about—at least my take on it—is seemingly very smart people who are incredibly dumb about life.
Shailene Woodley is a very talented actress. In my book she has the early lead as one of the best of her generation. But. The film creates a very strange experience. Little girls—most of whom have little or no experience with death—weep continually and tear out their hair. We're clearly in an age where everything is public, the more public the better.
