I could pick things about this film apart—but it does offer a useful history lesson for a country that refuses to study its own history.
Thought it would be better, but it's still plenty good. I grew up with kids like this—some of whom still don't know what hit them.
Just your typical all-American family—a drug dealer, a stripper, a runaway, a virgin. Funny at times.
Somewhat simplistic fairy tale (this one from the left, politically). The first hour worked very well for me—then the movie seemed to lose its nerve, even as polemic. Matt Damon is terrific in the lead role (apparently as the only white man left in LA).
