This is weird maybe, or crazy, but I can't think of a storyteller who I'm more in synch with than David O. Russell (Spanking the Monkey, The Fighter), and now Silver Linings Playbook. I love this guy as a writer and director.
The backstory was a little slow and boring for me—but the rest of this film is absolutely stunning!
Poor Alex Cross gets the Alex Cross movie. James Bond gets a $200 million production called Skyfall. Doesn't seem quite fair. And still—Skyfall does look great up on the big screen.
Anything but. Killing them viciously. Killing them bloodily. Interesting dialog though. Well reviewed by the critics, who are predictable. And also out of touch with reality.
Here's the crazy thing. I understand why people who are obsessed with the books will go to all the movies. But why have I gone to all the movies? I don't get it. Can someone please help me?
