A well told, very sad story and one that many high school kids would benefit from seeing (though it's fairly graphic). I missed Blue Valentine in 2010 but will now officially insert it into my favorites for that year.
Nicely spoofs the overblown and over-praised comic-book movie—until it becomes a comic-book movie for about thirty minutes as a newspaper office is completely blown to smithereens.
I'm not a huge country and western fan but I enjoyed the music more than the rest of this uneven film. Gwyneth Paltrow cried and cried and cried but unfortunately I didn't shed a tear. Not even when—(spoiler alert).
