Very British and very good. Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush's performances are not to be missed.
I was a little disappointed, but I still found this to be terrific storytelling combined with first rate craft. The ensemble of Bridges, Damon, Brolin and Hailee Steinfeld (who plays Mattie Ross) is hard to beat.
This started out as a terrific comedy series but it's lost a lot of its edge. Stiller and De Niro are still plenty good (and I forgive Robert for his parody of me on Saturday Night Live).
When this flick began there were 7 of us in the theater. Twenty minutes later, I was the only courageous one still there. Somehow the idea of spending the next hour waiting for an amputation without any anesthesia didn't seem like the best way to spend my afternoon. I bolted as well.
Watchable, but kind of goofy and I have no idea what the audience for this film was supposed to be. Several scenes just didn't work.
