Inception

I love the Museum of Modern Art in New York. But after an hour or so, I usually want to be somewhere else. That's how I felt about this beautifully photographed and ambitious film. Hollywood auteurs want to be taken seriously. Not going to happen. There will be a lot of pseudo-intellectual horse manure spread about this flick. But not by me.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

"Spellbinding," "The perfect summer movie," "Dazzling," "Magical," say the ads. What a lot of b.s. Bad storytelling, unbelievably sloppy special effects, irritating product placements, a huge waste of acting talent and money. And Disney can quote me on that.

Predators

The first third or so is actually pretty cool, but then it turns into The Most Dangerous Game on another planet and becomes a lot more predictable. Could have been a very good movie of its kind, but loses too much steam by the end.
