Pick of the Week

Juno

Juno has some of the best dialog I've heard in a long time. It looked terrific in the trailer and for once the movie is even better. All the actors do a fantastic job, but especially Ellen Page. This and Once are my favorites of the year.

Charlie Wilson's War

Charlie Wilson's War is probably the only war movie that will make money this year, and it deserves to. I'm not usually a Mike Nichols fan but this was a very tight, funny flick. It's also the best role Tom Hanks has had in a couple years. Of course the absolute star is Philip Seymour Hoffman and he keeps getting better and better.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep

Waterhorse is one of those children's movies that adults will enjoy as much as their kids. A lot of attention was given to the script cinematography & animation. Definitely a good one to bring your kids eight and up to see.
